Diners & Departures

Every Airport Has a Story.

What began as a journey to build flight time became something much more.

Diners & Departures is an original documentary series from Borden Ln. Films that celebrates the unique culture of general aviation by exploring the airports, restaurants, history, and people that make each destination unforgettable.

Each episode follows a real cross-country flight to an airport somewhere in America. Along the way, we uncover the stories behind historic airfields, meet the restaurant owners and communities that have welcomed generations of pilots, and experience the traditions that continue to define general aviation.

But this series is about more than remarkable destinations.

It also chronicles the personal journey of filmmaker and pilot Christopher T. Landavazo as he works toward earning the flight time required to meet Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) minimums to land his dream job working as a pilot for a major airline. Every departure represents another lesson learned, another story preserved, and another step toward the cockpit of a major airline.

From legendary $100 hamburger destinations to forgotten military airfields, hometown cafés, aviation museums, and remarkable people, Diners & Departures explores America one airport at a time.

Because every airport has a story.
